This article discusses relationships between individual risks.

The risk relationship functionality gives you the ability to define relationships between individual risks. Go to Risks > Registers and click on a risk that you want to relate to another risk.
In the side panel, under the Linked data tab, click on Risks.
You can perform the following actions on this screen.
- Click on + Add data to see or link other types of data, e.g. issues, register records, or third-parties. Switch back to risks anytime by clicking on the risk icon (triangle warning).
- Click on x to remove all risk linkages; if there are no linked risks, click it to exit this screen.
- View already linked risks.
Click on the link icon to open the Link risks screen.
On the left, you can search or filter for risks in the table. Click on a risk's name in the table to open it in a new tab to view its details, or click on its arrow to expand it.
On the right, select the Link type.
Risk relationship rules:
- Only 1 type of linkage between 2 risks is allowed, e.g. Example risk #1 and Example risk #2 can only either be parent-child or related, but not both.
- Only 1 level of relationship is allowed, i.e. parent-child is possible; parent-child-grandchild is not possible.
Below is a list of relationship link types.
- Related: link the risks together without defining any specific hierarchy.
- Parent: select 1 risk from the table to become the parent of this risk.
- Child: select risk/s from the table to become the children of this risk.
Once you have selected the most appropriate link type, click on the link icons to the left of the risk names in the table on the left to link them. When you are done selecting risks, click Link at bottom right.
The linked risk will now appear in the Linked data tab.
You can choose to display relationships in the register tables using the Columns dropdown.
