Creating a Control Set

Create a Control Set

Select Controls from the left navigation panel to navigate to the Control sets screen. All Controls are shown in the table, where you can view key criteria, sort, or search them.

Click Create control set at the top right of the screen.

A new window will open where you can enter:
  1. Name of your control set
  2. Type (Control Set or Obligation Set)
  3. Description
  4. Hit Create Control Set

Your Control Set has now been created with details displayed in the Control Set>Overview screen.

The top panel organizes all of the features that will assist in building and managing your Control Set, with five process tabs on the left of the panel (1) and four on the right (2).

All of the action and administration functions can be viewed on this screen.

Click on Settings at the top right to open the Control set Settings side panel.

Here you can edit:
  1. Name
  2. Description
  3. Last Review Date
  4. Next Review Date
  5. Browse... (upload an image that will be displayed if you add this Control Set to your Trust Portal)
  6. Tick this option if you would like to hide all responsibilities until the control set is published
  7. When you are done with all the changes hit Save

The Controls tab includes the Overview panel, where you can assign Stakeholders and view Review Dates as required.

Manage Domains

You can create domains (groups of Controls) using the Domain dropdown.

  1. Select Manage domains
  2. Add domain
  3. Here you will see the domain name selected

Viewer

The Viewer tab allows you to preview the tab in view-only mode. You can also change the Status of the Control set from Edit to Published once you've added your Controls. Here you will see what you're control set will look like once it has been published.

  1. Click Viewer
  2.  Select the control you wish to view the details of and click on Responsibility
  3. Responsibility Details

Duplicating your Control set

You can choose "Save As" at any point to create a copy of the Control set. This duplicated version can then serve as a template for future use, allowing you to maintain the original Control set while experimenting or modifying the duplicate as needed. This flexibility ensures that you can easily iterate on and customize Control sets without affecting the integrity of the original version.

Enter a name and click on Save As.

An identical copy of it will then be created and can be found under Controls.

Now that a Control set has been created, you can add the relevant Authorities from the Content Library.
