Custom Data - Risks

There are two places you can add custom data fields to a risk:

  • Risk Overview
  • Risk Assessments

To create custom data attributes, select Administration > Custom Data from the left navigation panel.

Here you can see the risk custom attributes table.

You can also see the risk assessment custom attributes table. By default, the risk assessment custom attributes table has Likelihood, Impact, Risk Rating and Risk Assessment Label, which are used for risk assessments and the risk matrix report.

Adding a custom attribute

To create a new risk assessment custom attribute click the Add button.

When creating a new custom attribute, the will be required to input the following:

  • Name - the name of the custom attribute
  • Placeholder - the placeholder that will display in the custom attribute field when empty
  • Type - the type can be any of the following:
    • Dropdown
    • Multiselect Dropdown
    • Free Text
    • Date
    • Rich Text
      • Enabled - check the box to display the custom attribute

      Dropdown

      A dropdown custom attribute displays a series of values from which a user can select one. To set up a dropdown, enter in its name, add the placeholder, select type Dropdown and check Enabled. Click Save.

      The new custom attribute will be created.

      To add the dropdown values, double click on the name of the dropdown custom attribute. the Custom Data modal will appear. here you can add the values of the dropdown. To create a new value, click add.

      A row will appear in the table, where you can add the name of the first option, a value (optional) and a description (options). Click update or hit enter on the keyboard to create.

      Add as many options as required. You can also delete values by selecting them and hitting the Delete button. To edit a value, double click on it. Once done, hit the close button on the top right of the modal.

      In the risk overview section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      You can select an option and it will be displayed. If you hover your mouse over the field the description will be displayed in the tooltip.

      In the risk assessment section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      Multiselect 

      A multiselect custom attribute displays a series of values from which a user can select one. To set up a dropdown, enter in its name, add the placeholder, select type Multiselect and check Enabled. Click Save.

      To add the multiselect values, double click on the name of the multiselect custom attribute. the Custom Data modal will appear. here you can add the values of the multiselect. To create a new value, click add.

      A row will appear in the table, where you can add the name of the first option, a value (optional) and a description (options). Click update or hit enter on the keyboard to create.

      Add as many options as required. You can also delete values by selecting them and hitting the Delete button. To edit a value, double click on it. Once done, hit the close button on the top right of the modal.

      In the risk overview section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      You can select multiple options and they will be displayed. If you hover your mouse over the field the description will be displayed in the tooltip.

      In the risk assessment section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      Free Text

      A free text custom attribute allows the user to enter plain text into a field. To set up a free text field, enter in its name, add the placeholder, select type Free Text and check Enabled. Click Save.

      In the risk overview section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      In the risk assessment section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      Rich Text

      A rich text custom attribute allows the user to enter rich text into a text box. To set up a rich text field, enter in its name, add the placeholder, select type Rich Text and check Enabled. Click Save.

      In the risk overview section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      In the risk assessment section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled. 

      Date

      A Date custom attribute allows the user to a date. To set up a date field, enter in its name, add the placeholder, select type Date and check Enabled. Click Save.

      In the risk assessment section, the custom data attribute will be displayed if it is enabled.
